D-Day 5.5 * (200'’) F (17b)Begin about 50’' down and right of the other upper “Ledge” routes (“A, B, & C”). From the lowest point of the wall (atop the large boulder at the single bolt anchor) climb up the rocky rib following the bolts, past the low angle slab to the upper headwall. Good consistently fun climbing (except for the 50'’ long 4th class scramble up the middle section) leads to very nice rock up high. Belay at the 2 bolt anchor just below the top. The Ledge is the longest approach from the parking area (about 30 minutes) but offers the best easy climbing at Burge.

Continue along the trail at the base of the main cliffs, pass through the gate just south of The Jungle Gym and continue on to the boulders at the base of The Green Wall. Hike up the scree slope (cairn marked trail) above the bouldering area (below Middle Earth), then traverse right along the base of Raptor Wall round the corner and climb the scree slope/gully at the far east end of Burge - or continue along the forest floor below Middle Earth and Raptor Wall and approach up the longer scree slope at the far right. When possible traverse left and scramble up towards the top of Raptor Wall (2 sections of fixed ropes are installed here).

The Ledge is the low angled face on the right. All 5 established routes are safe, and offer easy bolted face climbing with great exposure.
