8 Mile Area Rock Climbing
Very cool holds. Photo E. Williams.
Only a few problems (I know of) at this area. The two best are Girkha Knife and Dark Continent. Both problems can be seen from the road and rest roughly 50 yards uphill from the road.
Park at the 8 mile marker and walk to the edge (down canyon or upriver) of the sandy parking strip. There is not really an established trail getting up there at this time.
Climbing Season For the Left Fork area.
Weather station 10.9 miles from here
