So I drove through the Snowies on Saturday on the way to Saratoga valley. I didn't drive up to Blue Marble, or on the dirt roads, but it's clear of snow where you turn off of 130 to start the drive on the dirt roads to Blue Marble. It looked like there were plenty of places on that side of the range for free camping. There's still a lot of snow a bit higher up but there's gotta be a 2000ft elevation difference between where this picture was taken and blue marble

Thanks again. I didn't even think about snow. Most of CO is clear to at least 10k. I'll call the forest service before heading up this weekend.
