3rd Landing is the next area past Schoolroom Cracks area and before the Outer Limits area. Northwest Oregon Rock book calls this 3rd Landing in the Route Overview but calls it 2nd landing in the route description area... i guess the important thing is that it is located about 20-30 yards to climbers left of Schoolroom

Getting There

find bench at schoolroom and keep walking about 20-30 yards

Climbing Season

For the Mt. Hood area.

Weather station 6.6 miles from here

Escalade (aka Abandonment Issues) 5.8 5b 16 VI- 15 HVS 4c  Oregon : Mt. Hood : ... : 3rd Landing
A challenging climb that starts to the right of a detached block. This climb has some fun moves getting over a bulge near the start to a nice stance. Then its a nice crack up to the anchors. Climb protects well. has a .10a direct start up the block face or an easier.6 to the left of the block. Like all the climbs in the area be prepared for moss and dirty conditions which will hopefully improve as people get out and climb here. the conditions ratchet up the grade a notch IMO...[more]   Browse More Classics in Oregon
