Setting up at the base or Airball.

The second band of Redstein has higher rock quality than first band and a good variety of sport and trad routes. Lots of work has been done to help with the erosion of the base ledge, but it's still a bit sketchy. There are anchors for the belayer at most climbs.

Getting There

As you head up the approach gully, pass the cairn marking the first band, climb another 100', and look for a ramp system up to the right. This goes around a block, then the 2nd band will be laid out in front of you.

Stem and face climb past several bolts to an awkward overhanging move. Thrutch through this single tough move by reaching far out right to a good hold and hop onto a large ledge. From there, take the fun finger/hand crack 40' to the top. You'll want cams from .3" to 2" for this section....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado

I think that this is one of the best crags in Colorado, the crew has done an outstanding job maintaining this area.
