Description 

180' tall buttress at the 2.5 mile post on the trail.

Getting There 

Park at the Trail's north end and hike in 2.5 miles or
a casual bike ride of 10 minutes.


Or,
park at Chestnut Grove natural area on Chestnut Grove Rd parking lot (GPS 39.948447, -76.432095) and take the turkey hill trail to the Enola trail that follows the Susquehanna river and walk south. The distance from car to Alpine area is about 1.5 miles

The top of the cliff can be accesses via Chestnut Grove trail (10 minute level walk), but you must take faint climber's trail down southern shoulder of the alpine wall.

This route starts at an inside corner left of Crap Crack.Climb easy 4th class up to first bolt. Continue stemming up corner, and cracks to roof. Jam out roof and pull through V notch. Is the Alpine Wall (tall wall) also known as Star Rock? Given it's proximity to Star Rock Farms...

Star rock farm is above this wall. But for some reason farther south is a wall called "Star Wall". Plus it has a bit of an Alpine feel, for PA anyway. lol
