Hiked to Lincoln today. Starting to form but no where near ready. The park county side got way less snow than the summit side.

Did Total Abandon Tuesday, crux is very fragile so don't lose your sh*t on it...

Climbed Alexanders Chimney on Longs to the Broadway 9/25/2016 with Carl Puim

I was in RMNP last week and a few areas had started to slick up, but nothing to really talk about yet.

Mostly just wanted to bump this up.

For a non local, what might be in season for Longs in mid Nov? If not ice, rock?
I'm looking for fun fun not spicy fun.

Had to leave a .4 BD X4 on Total Abandon on Saturday. If anyone finds it let me know, I've got beer for you.

I am partner-less this weekend with ambitions of heading up to chasm view to check things out and try to hop on something (Martha, dreamweaver, FD, Alex's) Is there anyone here looking to get out that is also partner-less?

Here's a few more pics from the Longs Peak cirque area from yesterday. Unfortunately, many climbs weren't in great shape.

So how does the current forecast bode for ice conditions in RMNP? Booked a trip out there for the beginning of November hoping to climb some ice and now I'm starting to think that I lost that gamble.

It's supposed to stay warm until at least Nov 1st.

hot AF. was 44 at the top of copper mountain this morning.

Pikes Peak has been warm and dry the last few weeks.
The ice is showing signs of delaminating and rocks are no longer held together by the thinning ice. consistent rock-fall was experienced on both routes this weekend.

The mixed lines on the Corinthian are a safer alternative until we get some moisture. Or better yet, go rock climbing!

Climbed Blind Assumption on Pikes with Carl Pluim Sunday Oct 30th, and no doubt there is alot of rock fall as stated by Phil W. Very little snow on any of the pitches, making rock fall inevitable from the rope.
