Here on the East Coast we have had most of the retail stores that once sold climbing gear close or stop selling hard goods, in favor of all the soft goods . We have just had a Sierra Trading Post store open, and they stopped carrying climbing gear after 2 months. Eastern Mountain Sports went OUT. And our host, REI, has some retail outlets but none are close by. So for many the threads here are a great source for information to help comparison shop. So again I want to voice my thanks to everyone that posts up deals that they see.
