I'm heading down to Red Rock. I heard that the temps will be in the 80s-90s. What other options and alternative crags within 3 hours drive should I look into? Besides Calico Hill, Willow Spring, Mt. Charleston. Is Zion any cooler in temps than Red Rock?

The weather in Red Rocks will be cooler than  Vegas by about 10 deg. It could be good or bad depending on what you want to do. Most of the sport climbing is in the sun while lots of the long trad routes in the canyons will be nice in the shade. Zion is cooler and beautiful. I prefer the climbing at Red Rocks.

80's or 90's here isn't like in MN, Tab. In fact you'll be loving the sending temps here. Not only is it 10 degrees or so difference in the canyons, it's also not humid. Mt C will be about 60 or so.

Those temps in town are perfect for climbing in the shade at Red Rocks. You may even be cold up high.

80 and 90s?  Sounds good to me!  avoid when it's 115.

1.5 hrs north on I-15 is Saint George, Utah with about any kind of climbing you want. Limestone crags in the middle of nowhere,2-4 pitch sport/trad, overhanging hueco fests, thin slab, bouldering, etc. This time of year, you could probably pay a few$ and camp in Crawdad Canyon and have 100s of sport routes to yourself.

It’s not as epic as red rocks and it’s up the road a spell but may be less crowded overall than red rocks if you want to see something different for a couple days.

If you don't climb 5.10 solidly with run outs and bad rock. Don't go to zion to climb. There's just not much under 5.10

Thanks everyone. Just got home from Red Rock. It was a wonderful trip.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
