Rock Climbs of Acadia by Grant Simmons is the most up to date guide book and it's excellent.  Alpenglow Adventure Sports right on Main street always has copies. There is also a guide book for Clifton that  will get you by , that can also be found at Alpenglow located in Orono.

Wait, Nick, how is it possible that you’ve never climbed in Acadia??? Pm if you want any detailed beta. I’ve spent quite a bit of time there.

There are 2 climbing stores in Bar Harbor--Alpenglow as mentioned above, but they may have limited open hours at this time of year and Cadillac Mountain Sports which is on the street (forget its name) one block above West Street--which follows the shore. There is also a branch of Cadillac on the main drag in Ellsworth which you'll pass on your way into Acadia. As for Clifton, there is also a selection of routes in Rock Climbing New England (2nd edition) by Stewart Green published by Falcon Books.

Yep, Cottage Street, thanks Eric. Cadillac is open year round, so is a better bet. The book is also often available in various book stores in the area.

Stuarts  book is a best  of and  you can find your way around pretty well  with it. The new book has  a few more  crags, but does not  say much about the obscure  stuff

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
