Bottoms up for crappy beers!

From here - 'Why I Drink "Crappy" Beer' |

Not for me. If I can't afford or access good beer, I don't need to drink beer that day. If I want something that costs less, has fewer calories, is more watery, and won't give me a hangover I drink water. |

Help me out...what does this have to do with climbing, again? |

I don't like craft beers and I hate IPA, which everyone seems to love. Don't like seasonal, pumpkin, blueberry or beers with stupid names. Grape fruit shandy's aren't too bad, thanks to my daughter. Lager's and British bitters are the beers of choice. Don't like beer you have to chew. Coors light is indeed water. |

Crappy beer is fine. I drank PBR last night. However NEVER EVER drink cheap booze! |

Ted Pinson wrote: You're totally missing the point. It's not that climbers merely drink beer - it's that beer, and wine, have been thoroughly intertwined with climbing for a century. Wino Tower on the Dawn Wall; the 6-pack the Clint Eastwood character carried in his pack during training for the Eiger Sanction; the infamous pub stories of UK climbers in the 60's; the near constant references to beer in discussion forums; and a shit ton of other examples. |

So since Alex Honnold doesn’t drink, does that mean he’s not really a climber? |

I think that might be redundant - don’t obstinate and obtuse have similar etymologies? Anyways, this whole discussion is moot since the only beer we can drink now is Pacifico since that’s what TC drinks. |

Last trip I brought a bunch of good beer but sometimes you don't have a cooler and need to roll ultralight |
