Description Suggest change

With all 10+ routes being TR accessible, grades that range from 5.7 to 5.12+, and its short approach, Orange Corner has something for everyone. From here, you have an excellent view of Pine Lake below and the Front Ranges of the St Elias Mountains across the Shakwak Valley. The area is in the sun most of the day.

To set up top ropes, all anchors can be accessed from the top of the scramble (3 bolts) in the notch immediately up and left of the crag. Use the series of one- or two-bolt anchors to do a short rappel to access the top of each route.

Getting There Suggest change

Start on the regular Paint Mountain hiking trail, which is on the east side of the parking lot. Follow this trail for about 5 minutes to where the trail switchbacks up a short rock step to bring you on top of a bench where the trail forks. The right fork is the regular hiking trail to the top of Paint Mountain and the left fork is the trail to Orange Corner. From the fork follow the trail up for another 5 minutes. The approach should take roughly 10-15 minutes.
