Description
This is a popular area with a nice moderate and a couple of harder climbs. It is identified by the large pine tree atop the sheer face, from which people lower. There are also a couple of bolted anchors above the tree for extensions and variations.
Getting There
This is on your right as you hike up the road, in the area of three classic walls, including the Pink Face and the Gray Face (aka Ironing Board). The Lone Pine Tree wall is accessed from the trail that cuts up and right across the hillside to access the Pink Face and Gray Face. The Lone Pine Tree is just above the road and people usually set up on that trail at the base of a chimney, with the steep, sheer face of the Lone Pine Tree starting 30 feet above from a ledge.
