Looking for rental in the Bishop, CA area

Reaching out to the MP community to find any leads on possible living space rentals in the Bishop area.

I'm a young (ish) female, financially stable, part-time nursing student, and well, a rock climber, if that wasn't implied. Nursing is a bit of a career shift for me so I'm taking advantage of the life shake-up to play out my long time dream of living in the Eastern Sierras (rock-climber cliche?).

Looking for a small, simple space anywhere between Big Pine and Tom's Place. Happy to be in town although I'd prefer a bit more of a rural setting. Open to a variety of living spaces (ie. cabin, trailer, apt/house share, some cool little structure you built in your backyard looking out into the mountains, your 6 bedroom mansion in exchange for watching your poodle (seriously though, I have house/pet-sitting experience)...etc.). Would prefer under $700/mo. Temp or long-term. Starting Aug 15 (flexible).

Let me know if you have any ideas/leads. Cheers!

And hey, MP trolls, mind hanging back on this one? Thanks :)

You might call the gear shops in town, both Wilson's East Side and The Gear Exchange are staffed by nice local folk, might have a lead?

Moselle was in my microbiology class. I can vouch for her character and bacteria culturing skills. Hi, Moselle.

I have a possible lead for you.  Not sure of the status of my friend Keri's guesthouse but I forwarded her this link.  Happy craggin', not much if anyplace beats the eastside.

I'm throwing out feelers in a lot of directions, including to a few people I know that live/lived up in the area, but the gear shop is def another good idea I hadn't thought of.  Thanks!

Haha Hi Rob!  It is true, in addition to being handy around the house, I can now isolate a colony of Escherichia coli if ever necessary :)

I'm about to move out of the room I'm currently renting. It's in Bishop, and the guy I'm renting from is great! Very outdoorsy and fun to hang out with. I can put you in touch with him if you would like.

Allegra, that would be awesome, thanks! I'll PM you.
