Cordillera Blanca July 18 to 26, Aug17th onward

Hey I am looking for partners in Huaraz for mountaineering objectives for the above dates.

I've climbed in Peru once before and made attempts on both Pisco and Yanapaccha (turned back on both due to illness in the group)

I've also climbed in the PNW summiting Rainier, Adams, and Hood and attempting Jefferson. Made an attempt on Pico de Orizaba last year. 

My crevasse rescue skills are solid, my Spanish is pretty good, I work as a backpacking guide, and have worked as a rock climbing guide. 

I feel comfortable taking on smaller objectives on our own, and would definitely consider joining guided expeditions on some of the larger ones.

I'll be there for the month of July. I'm (more of less) fluent in Spanish, and have not been climbing for very long but have spent the last 6 months on and off in Joshua Tree following multipitch trad, and can confidently lead spot up to 10b. I'm smart, grounded, enthusiastic, and have spent many years on and off in Peru. I  lead yoga teacher trainings in Cusco. Would love to assemble a crew.

I've been here for a few weeks now and been self organized, it's pretty easy to do once you get a handle on the transport. The agency I'm working at can help with logistics like porters or guides if you want, Andean Summit.

FYI I have a strong Chilean climber friend who is arriving that same time and looking at the Sphinx and Artesonraju. DM me if you want an intro!

My sister and I are planning to do the Circuito Andino in the Huayhuash, along the lines of: http://www.wikiexplora.com/index.php/Circuito_Huayhuash_Andino  (shorter and higher altitude than traditional trek). We would be going around August 18 and the start is flexible (arriving Lima August 14 + need some time to acclimate). We are also open to other treks or summit expeditions. Like you, I would be interested in joining a more difficult guided expedition, or I am comfortable leading a route such as the one outlined in the wikiexplora. I am more experienced than my sister, so I would be more comfortable if we had another one or two people with us. After the trek I hope to be fit and acclimated enough to do a summit or two, though this is contingent upon finding another group to latch onto. My sister speaks Spanish and has spent 5 months hitchhiking through Central America. 

I have been mountaineering since age 14 in the Altai and Caucasus Mts (Russia) and the Tjan Shan Mts (Kyrgyzstan), as well as the West Coast Mts in Canada, where I completed an intermediate mountaineering course with emphasis on leading. Unfortunately, this was 5 years ago so my crevasse rescue is not solid, which is another reason why I'd prefer to have additional folks. To me, mountaineering is about being self-sufficient, efficient, and respectful of that great awesomeness of the mountains. If you think this might be a good fit for you, let me know! Like I said, we're not dead-set on the Huayhuash and we'd be open to other ideas.
