I am an American student studying for a semester in Freiburg, Germany (SW corner) and want to make the most out of my short time in Europe. I have classes until the end of July, but I have Thursdays and Fridays off, so I can do long weekend trips in June and July. I have the entire month of August open and would be interested in doing some extended trips then. I am open to any type of climbing or adventure (multipitch, sport, bouldering, backpacking, etc.), but I would really like to get on some moderate multipitch routes, so I'm leaning towards the Alps (Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France).

Experience: Climbing for ~3 years. I am comfortable leading multipitch up to 5.8/9 YDS on gear and 5.10 on bolts. Sport climbing, I'd likely project 5.11s. I have not done any technical alpine climbing, but I have experience with multipitch routes up to 8 pitches in the States.

Gear: I have a singles rack (cams up to BD #3 C4; nuts; tricams; apline draws; anchor stuff) with me. I did not bring a rope, but I could potentially buy one here (or buy beer for a partner willing to share).

Transportation: I'm currently at the mercy of public transport and the European rail and bus systems, but a generous partner with a car would be compensated with beer and/or gas money. I am also open to the possibility of renting a car for an extended trip in August.

Let me know if you want to crush some European rock (or trail) together!

I will be a European nomad starting next Friday.  I have no itinerary, I am just going to roam around.  I will start my trip in Frankfurt Germany and rent a car from there.  I plan on doing a mix of camping in the car and hotels/hostels.

But due to luggage restrictions, I will only have enough room for my harness and shoes.  I might be able to stuff draws and rope in there, but that might be pushing it.....

Contact me here and maybe we can meet up for a weekend trip!

Hey, I'm also an American studying in Germany (Leipzig). I'm studying throughout June, and then planning on traveling around and climbing for July. If you want to do a weekend trip let me know, we can meet up somewhere, I'm dying to check out Frankenjura. I do just about any type of climbing, bouldering, trad, sport. So I'd be game for anything. I only brought a harness and shoes, and I'm trying to figure gear out right now. Let me know when you're free. I've got this weekend off, and then the weekend of the 24th/25th too.

I will be in Switzerland from July 1-9th and am looking to do some alpine climbing near Piz Badile / Bregaglia area.  PM me if you're interested in joining me.

I am living about 35 min west of Nuremberg and looking for partners mostly on weekends.  I have a car, rope, draws, some trad gear and a crash pad.  Let me know if you make it out this way.

Another American student in Germany. I am located in Dresden with just a harness and shoes but with some advanced notice I can probably make a long weekend trip anywhere in the country. If you want to check out the elbsandstein near Dresden (the birthplace of free climbing), let me know.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
