I'll be in Iceland for the month of June and am wondering if anyone has experience they want to share about hot springs, surf spots, climbing, hiking etc. Thanks!

My top "don't miss" things would be Silfra, the penis museum, and Laugavegur.

Take lots of money, buy as much duty free booze that you can carry, take a canister stove , as even gas stations sell canisters.

The Penis museum isn't really a big deal, it is close to three thrift stores, neither is the Blue Lagoon ,I think the Viking museum with the long boat inside is pretty cool

Expect lots of wind, if you're renting a car, full coverage does not cover flats, also check to see if the inland roads are open before you head out.

There's a lot of random bouldering and some neat basalt to climb. Helps if you're renting a car of course. Also you can legally camp anywhere (like Norway) which is bad ass but its still cold as a mofo

Snaefellsjoekull National Park, out in the Western Peninsula of Iceland is very cool. Blue Lagoon is fun if you're into the scene, but there are plenty of other thermal pools that aren't a scene. Just ask around or search it and you'll find them. Try not to eat out much...$$$$...people are super cool and the days are long! Enjoy!

I will be in Iceland from June 26-29th and have rented a camper van to roam around the island.  I also plan on renting a mountain bike and exploring some single track.  If any one has any trail condition updates, as well as road conditions, that would be awesome.  Also, if anyone is there during that time and wants to join me, it's gonna be a fun time!  PM me if interested.

Is Hnappavellir worth visiting. Any tips, beta, or recommendations (routes, gear, etc)?

Does anyone have experience with climbing Hvannadalshnukur? Beta, advice, recommendations?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
