Linville Gorge Cell Service?

Does anyone know how the cell service is at the Table Rock parking lot in Linville?  It might be nice to be able to check a weather report or radar this weekend.

I had pretty good service (Verizon and a Motorola Force) partner had Verizon and an iPHone and no service. From the people we were with I had much better consistent service than most. Though there were some downhill skateboarders and they all had phone service as they were calling to block the road. 

I have Verizon. Service for me depends on where you stand in the parking lot. Typically have good service on top of Table Rock and on the trail near the first campsites toward the Chimneys. FWIW, there is great service at Hawksbill

Service with an iPhone and Verizon can be had twoard the chimneys,

 Marginal service fromthe top of  the boulder by the parking area.

Great from shortoff or hawksbill or table rock

We were at Table Rock 3 weeks ago once we hit the Gorge area we basically had none. I have Straight Talk which I beleive uses Verizon towers other guy had ATT. Don't count on it is what I would say.
