Description Suggest change

About a third of a mile of gritstone cliffs, ranging from 8 to 50 feet in height, along with several dozen boulders beneath it. Home to several clean cracks, potential for trad climbs, and a 50 foot tall freestanding block. Incredible quality rock, with several amazingly aesthetic areas, including a highball situated next to a crevice which gives birth to a spring. So far, this is the only extensively explored area in the Wild Area.

Getting There Suggest change

From the sharp bend in Skyline Drive, turn left onto the dirt road (Quebec Rd.). Head to the bottom of the hill, turning right at the intersection with Mill Run School Rd. Continue to the bridge and park at the Mill Run Parking lot, just before the bridge. From here, hike out the Mill Run Trail to the Rankin Trail, about a mile. Turn right onto the Rankin Trail, following it for roughly a mile, crossing Quebec Road (not the same as what you drove in on) from here, continue roughly 300 yards, to where you start to see the first few boulders in the surrounding woods. This is the start of the Cliff line. Turn right and bust through rhododendron until you reach the crag.
