Camp Photon Wire resdesign

"New for this year is a shape with a higher strength and lower weight ratio, and a new nose to prevent wire gate damage."

Anyone tried these? Currently love-hate with my photons, can't beat the size to weight ratio at the low price, but the gates suck. A redesigned nose and a stiffer gate could convince me to not pull the trigger on a bunch of BD Oz's. 

I'm so tired of weak gates on my photons I almost look forward to them gumming up.  I bet the redesign is to fix their terrible reputation with the wire gate photons.

If you hate you photons I will gladly pay you something for them. I don't have a problem with the gates. 

The redesign is stiffer. I think they are one of the better full-size and light carabiners out there. 

Just got a rack pack of them a week ago and they are awesome. I liked the originals though so YMMV.

They have a tad stiffer gate, that's about it. I didn't notice the nose at first glance, will have to go compare them.

Still a snag-nose, I would pass.
