Description

A newer and less crowded edition to Kalymnos climbing. These two walls have some tufa features in the small caves, but as is typical of most of the Gerakios area climbing the main features are slab to vertical walls featured with slots and pockets that are hard to see from below, but you are always happy to find them while climbing.

Getting There

Drive on the upper road from Myrties to Armeos.

You can park either just before the first big right hand turn or shortly after the turn and then walk back a hundred feet or so.

The best trail starts to the right of the large yellow house up a paved STEEP driveway. Follow a well defined path through several goat gates (close them, please), and take a left fork up to Upper Cave and Rainbow Wall following red dots and doing a bit of a scramble to gain the upper tier. You will hike first towards Rainbow Wall, the left small area, before coming back right to Upper Cave.

This hike is a solid 30 mins, but you will be rewarded by likely having these cliffs to yourself.
