Hi Nick et al.,
Why is there a limit on the number of areas that can be favorites? I used to have something like 13 (which I know was over the limit, but somehow it still worked), but something changed with a recent code update and now I can only have 6. Why not increase this limit? Why have a limit at all?
Having many favorite areas is a super useful feature for at least two big reasons:
1) it makes keeping track of comments, new routes, route updates, etc. easier because you have more control over which EXACT areas you want to keep track of. Having only 6 means that I have to choose "California" and "Colorado" as "areas", which is essentially useless and annoying because you see WAY too many comments, new photos, etc. For e.g., I want to keep track of probably 4 areas in CA, 3 areas in NM, three in WY, 4 in Colorado etc., which is impossible with the 6 area limit. In effect this makes it much harder and time consuming for me to try and help keep route areas up to date that I have helpful knowledge of.
2) having more than six favorite areas makes navigation from the MP front page much simpler because with one click I can arrive at the route page for say, Boulder Canyon, instead of having to click Colorado, then Boulder area, then Boulder Canyon.
One would think that this is a super easy fix that makes it much easier for users that try and keep track of and help with route updates (and to post helpful comments to other users), and makes the MP user interface much easier to navigate.
Cheers.
