Custer State park clibing guidebook?

Is there a good climbing guide book for Custer state park and the surrounding area?

I haven't found Orenczak's book to be good, but it's better than nothing.

Needle's of Rushmore by Burr/Busse is an exceptionally great guidebook that covers everything east of Black Elk Peak.

Yeah, I own that book and yes, it is better than nothing, but not by much. Pretty terrible book.

On the other hand, the Burr book for the surrounding area is fantastic. Great info, pics, and history.

Routes per page is irrelevant if there is so little information that you can't find the route or spend three hours figuring out what is what. Both the Burr book and the Orenczak book are the same price and they are lightyears apart in quality.

Nobody gets sarcasm anymore.  I appreciated it tho.

In total agreement with you. The routes/page (or in the case of the Orenczak book, pages/route) was a bit tongue in cheek with regards to how worthless the book was. Why fill a guidebook with useful climbing info when there is "art" to be had.

As far as CSP guidebooks, there aren't really any worthwhile ones currently in print.  MP is the best source for now.
