"But he also said he doesn’t want big noisy groups of idiotic climbers making huge fires because they are scared, drilling metal bolts and safety chains and screaming like excited little kids in the night therefore 'annoying' the animals. Or big groups of people doing trance parties or drumming is also not part of the plan. That’s why even though we have done 100’s of problems we all agreed to leave it out of the Golden boulders guide book and not tell people who travel in crowds of the best areas. Anyway most people alone or just with 1 or 2 people are too scared to exist there. They would be better off in the safety of Goancorner resort with caring mummy Sharmilla or Lakshmi goldenbeach resort with nice daddy Prasad. There are enough boulders near to the resorts to keep most people busy for 2 or 3 seasons anyway." Does Bobby know you are letting the world know now? "Why don't normal natural animals attempt to over populate and over consume themselves killing off any other species in their way and putting themselves and every other life form into danger of extinction? Is it because they haven't been educated 'properly' like us and brainwashed into thinking we are the only thing on the planet that really matters? Or are the humane ones really just selfish and ignorant bastards who couldn't care less about any other animals?" they all mostly do try and take over, natural selection takes place and the system is equalized eventually/naturally. Like when the viper bites the hippy living in a cave of vipers.

Good to hear someone is doing something to preserve that area, smart to hire the loggers/quarriers instead of just giving them the boot. But I must say, it's really too bad (though unsurprising) that your narrative had to include the holier than thou rhetoric you're known for.

No man. I was stoked to read the piece until you started spouting you're own self aggrandizement and started to bad mouth others. That was NOT necessary to make it an enjoyable read. ...and any white boy who compares themselves to a sadhu needs a serious wake up call.

Think toilet paper blowing in the wind.

If anything I think most climbers are indifferent to or hold negative opinions of the animals that live in the places they visit. It may be that the negative opinions are just louder than the rest, but I do have a few examples. For one, the birds of prey plaque an Lumpy Ridge has intentional scratches all over the picture of the peregrine falcon while the other bird portraits remain untouched. To me this shows a typical human's animosity, no pun intended, towards something that inhibits their ability to pursue favored activities. Sure there are some, myself included, that try not to see themselves as any greater than the rest of the animals in this world. Overall, though, I think we climbers are simply a cross section of humanity with all it's strengths and faults. P.S. I LOVE venison, but I wouldn't see store bought venison as preferable to beef, for many reasons in addition to the fact that ranched deer would speed the spread of deer waste disease.

Also, definitely this.
