Anyone have any experience with or know if it's even possible to repair worn stitching inside climbing shoes - in the vicinity of the toes? A certain shoe type of mine does this notoriously (they abrade as opposed the decay) due to mica-rich sand. I've been able to prevent it for the most part using cloth tape strips over the stitching but sometimes it still happens.
I guess I'm wondering if they can be fixed during the resole process?
Next time you get a new pair, put Seam Grip on the stitching.

Yeah, thought about that too but opted for the tape instead. Was afraid seam grip would affect the performance/fit on hard face and slab. Have you tried that yourself?

I've used it to reinforce/protect a number of seams of various types. Never on shoes though. It's extraordinarily durable stuff.
A resoler might be able to fix it. I've sent my shoes in for a resole with minor damage to the upper and he fixed it up. Try emailing whoever does your resoles and ask them. Otherwise go with this guy's advice ^^^^^
