Shooting areas near Jtree?

Any avid shooters out there know of any areas around jtree (outside the park, obviously) where I can fire a few shots with my shotgun during rest days? Sometimes I end my climbing days early with enough daylight. In the sierras there's some canyons perfect for that but wanted to explore jtree as well. Thanks

MGAGCC 29 Palms. Used to shoot all kinds of shit over there. You gotta enlist for at least 4 years though, that might be a deal breaker.

33.813275, -116.169859 If you have a 4x4 with good clearance you can go south from the Geology Tour Road all the way down to this area. Tons of spots to shoot.

34.185158, -116.221411 Out here, north of the overflow camping north of the park. Haven't shot here myself but heard people go out there.

Lots of BLM land all around.

Head over toward Pioneer Town, north of Yucca Valley. Lots of old wrecks and discarded bottles to shoot at.

As Nathanael mentioned both Lower Berdoo Canyon and Sunfair Dry Lake are good options as well as this place - 33.869530, -116.584564 which is just off Hwy 111; this is also the parking area for the Jupiter Boulders.

The drive down the Geology Road and Berdoo Canyon is nice if you have the time and proper vehicle but it's probably faster to drive out the Cottonwood Entrance and access it that way with much less driving on dirt roads; the other two areas are much more accessible and have a minimal amount of dirt driving.

There are several things wrong with this thread. Really wrong!

Thanks guys, went out this weekend and drove around the BLM land up north after climbing and saw a few spots. I'll check out some of these locations next week.
