Wassup guys

I'm planning a sport climbing trip somewhere in late april and wanted your suggestions of destinations where weather would be climbing friendly. I live in Montréal, Canada and I'm willing to drive about 15 hours. Wanted to go to Red River but it seems like around that time of year it rains 14 days a month... So I'm looking for other options.

Thanks for you help!

It rains a lot in April basically everywhere with 15 hours drive of Montreal.

Rumney can be great that time of year. Or it can rain. Same for the New and the Red.

if your going that far, on the way is seneca, last summer when i was there it was dry at the rocks, and a few miles down the road it was pouring. they say if the roads dry the rock is dry to climb on, so if you went south and got washed out check out seneca.

Hey Kori, I mentioned my site on another post and I think it'll help you figure out your options.

climbcation.com will help you filter through world class climbing destinations and get trip beta. When you find something that piques your interest you can use a site like mountain project to find more specific details on the climbing! I think that the flight integration with skyscanner will be of particular use for you. Put your montreal's airport as your local airport and you can find the cheap places to fly to if you don't want to drive.

It's crowd sourced and open source so if you're interested in contributing feel free!

Let me know if you have any questions or feedback as I'm always trying to improve the site

Thanks for your answers! I guess i'll probably look for plane tickets then.

dsauerbrun your site is really awesome!! I really love the idea of including best seasons, climbing difficulty and price per day in an easy to read quickview. Definitely will use it for my upcoming trip and will talk to my friends about it, thanks!

Just fly to Denver and go from there

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
