Looking for a place to live

The stars may have aligned and it appears my brother and I may be relocating to Denver at the same time in April. I climb a lot, he climbs a little. Does anyone have opinions on places to live? We'll need access to downtown, but a 30 minute commute doesn't bother us, light rail would be fantastic though.

Would prefer house over apartment, not looking to buy right away. $2k max rent would be preferred, saw some options around wheat ridge and Lakewood that looked decent.

Thanks for any information. I'll be posting for climbing partners in the near future if all goes according to plan!!
