Be sure to take the survey above. We need to make our voices heard, or our access to climbing these historic formations could be diminished. Time limits on parking would disproportionately effect climbers. Please take the survey and let your voice be heard. |

not to start a war, but i visit this area many times during the summer and NEVER have a problem parking. you just need to know where to look and not be afraid to walk an extra block... |
Love how it always goes to a payment method. |
The proposals with a high likelihood of being adopted include a two or three hour limit on parking. This limit would not effect me personally as I mostly free solo the Flatirons. However I think it's quite an elitist perspective to not worry about other members of the climbing Community who take more than 2 hours to climb the flat iron formations as a roped party. This restriction would definitely have a negative effect on those users, members of our community. |
There are a lot of other climbing objectives in the Flatirons besides the standard east face routes on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd... A two or three hour limit would be terrible. |

Done. The most alarming proposal, to me, is limiting parking in the residential neighborhood adjacent to the Open Space. I've never failed to find parking there. If Boulder is willing to operate a remote lot with a free and frequent shuttle, I'd be satisfied. But I doubt they'll lead with that. |
For some of the questions that I did not like any of the answers listed and was given the opportunity to write in I wrote "Parking is fine the way it is now" whenever I had the opportunity. I also agree that the survey is biased by only listing |
Done - thank you very much for sharing! |
Jefferson County should start a new fee program that only applies to Boulder residents for using Jeffco Open Space. An awful lot of mountain bikers and others go to White Ranch and other areas since options near Boulder are so limited. |

No other options are presented---because there are no other options--you can pay, or take the bus, or stay away. That's how it is in the People's Republik, comrades. |

The rest of us folks would commute into town to work and spend our money, but then promptly leave. |

And if OSMP had it their way, we would walk only on permitted trails in giant hamster tubes, unable to touch real trees or grass, and certainly not be able to hike off trail, or climb actual rocks. Unless, of course we had several off-leash dogs, and not clean up after them, as that apparently is OK with OSMP. |

I'm pretty sure my vote goes in the trash considering how many on the council keep getting re-elected. You can almost guarantee that anything they propose will mostly benefit the rich, the developers, themselves and the prairie dogs. |
Does anyone know what city member floated or came up with this possible (bad)idea? |
The CAMP website has a very good history of their efforts, including participants. |

Especially pages 88-100 The upshot is $2.50 an hour to park at Chautauqua with extensive two-hour restrictions. Well done Boulder bureaucrats! |
To be blunt who the F is going to go for just 2 hours? Someone running a trail or Satan's Minions? |
Haha! That 2 hour restriction is not even enough time to eat at the Chautauqua dining hall, with those long waits for seating, and the slow service, which is even worse than the Ahwahnee at Sunday brunch. |
