HCR guide book?
What guide book do you all suggest? Looking to make a trip there this spring! Thanks for the suggestions! |
Any of Cole Fennel's guides are the best you'll get for Arkansas. You can buy a HCR specific guide as well as the state-wide book in the Trading Post when you check in. Enjoy your trip, you won't regret it! |
What's the pros/cons of Fennel's guide(s) vs Horseshoe Canyon Ranch Arkansas Rock Climbing by Clay Frisbie? |
If you are going to be climbing other places in AR I would highly suggest getting this one: fixedpin.com/products/rock-… |
Horseshoes' guidebook is fixed pin as well, it is lighter and less expensive. |
Okay thanks! |

+1 for the complete guide for AR |
John Ryan wrote:+1 for the complete guide for AR fixedpin.com/products/rock-… Tons of epic rock in AR. Stay at HCR if you like crowds, fees, and rules.Good advice, John! |

The Comprehensive Arkansas guide doesn't have HCR Boulders in it. It is only roped routes. If you are wanting to boulder HCR buy the HCR book. If Sport climbing is all you want. Buy the Full AR book. I have both and they are both top notch guide books. |

The old guide for the state includes most boulders, but probably not as much as the horseshoe specific guide |
