My partner Cameron and I had our first go at the Nose last September. We climbed well and were successfully atop the summit in ~3 days. We certainly had a few hiccups, but nothing serious. We were stoked to knock this one off the list and hope to get on some more classic valley routes this year. Thanks for starting this thread OP! Keeps the fire burning!
I really enjoy this last photo. Before the attempt Cameron drew a big smiley face on the haul bag as a reminder to stay positive and stoked throughout the push. It just so happened that on the final pitch, Cam was hauling and the smiley face turned just right. It was one of those moments of disbelief that we were successful and our haul bag was happy to be a part of it!

My one and only Yosemite wall, the Nose in November 1985. We had 3 1/2 killer days of fine weather and milked them for all we could. Four BASE jumpers flew past us when we were just below the Great Roof. Mind blowing. Love the photos in this thread. TFPU!
