i sent my shoes to him a couple of days ago, so i don't know yet about the quality, but when i texted him a picture for a quote, he got back to me within an hour. i'm really stoked to get my shoes back and, if they come back good, you can count on me to send em back for their next resole. the price is amazing

just got my katana laces back from Benet last night before going for some evening climbing. it took a pitch or to to get used to the little "love bump" at the ball of my feet but other than that they are great. the price is unbeatable: $42 for a resole including 1 rand repair and return shipping!

Just got my shoes back from Benet and he did a great job. My first choice was Locker, but he sent me an email saying he was too busy huffing glue or something. Maybe next time... Anyways, my evolvs look great. Took almost a month door to door, but it seems like everyone is backed up, so I expected it. I sent Benet an email asking about whether he got my shoes and he responded almost immediately.

Has anyone sent in, received back, or otherwise heard from Pro Deal Resoles recently? I have 6 pairs of shoes I need resoled ASAP and placed two calls and two emails to PDR in the last few weeks without any response...

It's resole season so I doubt ASAP is gonna be less than a week no matter where you go. I haven't sent my shoes in recently but in the past Benet has always replied within 24hrs, usually within 2-4 hrs. Have you tried texting him?

I sent 4 pairs of shoes to Benet about 6 weeks ago and it took him 4 weeks to get them done. It's resole seasons.

A friend and I used Benet in September 2015. The resoles looked great and climbed like new. No problems down the road either.

I just got 3 pairs back from him. It was 3 weeks just like he said. I don't know if he's able to rush things right now .

That is a bad sign. I don't think I'd send in my shoes to someone who didn't respond.

It took two weeks longer than promised for Benet to return my shoes, but the wait was worth it. Got three pairs of Miuras and one Moccasyms redone, and the workmanship is IMMACULATE. I've put ~500'of climbing on all of them and they've shown no signs of delaminating. Edge work is precise. Finishing is top notch. Benet knocked off a % from my bill for the delay, for the record.

It's strange that he hasn't gotten back to you, he was very responsive in my experience.

Historically I've had good luck with Pro Deal Resoles - I knew Benet back when I lived in Boulder. I've always felt his work was as good as any I've seen and his prices are unbeatable. However, people have complained about communication problems and delays in the past and since I didn't hear back after several calls and emails I decided to take my 6 pairs of shoes and approach shoes elsewhere.

I'm currently having difficulty getting in touch with this guy, it appears he may be regressing into old habits.  Emails and texts are going unanswered.  His shop is only an hour and a half drive from my place, i think I may drive down next weekend to see if he's even still around.

EDIT: I just got a thread response notification and it prompted me to pop back in to say that I did eventually hear from Benet and subsequently received my shoes. The guy does phenomenal work. By far the best resole job I've seen. I do wish he had been more responsive at the get go, but I will be sending more shoes his way.

I had the same situation of a lack of communication from Benet, but he got to the shoes eventually. I'm out traveling, so have seen the work yet, but his price point is great.

Edit: Just got my shoes from Benet and his workmanship is phenomenal. As long as you are okay with a long wait, I highly recommend Pro Deal Resoles.

I just received two pairs of shoes back from Benet at Pro Deal Resoles. A pair of Mad-Rock Frenzys and a pair of Mad-Rock Demon 2.0s. Both look and feel great. There was a three week lead-time and a short delay but Benet responded to texts for an update promptly and shipped fast so they showed up the day before I needed them. This is my second time I used Benet (first time in 2015) and I've been happy both times (I think I left an earlier review in this thread). Keep up the good work Benet!

I am sorry to say that I took a chance on getting my shoes resoled with Pro Deal Resoles and apparently I sent my shoes into a black hole.  I sent them in late Oct 2022 and it's now Feb 2, 2023 and I haven't had a single reply, comment, response, or anything.  So frustrated and angry!  Please consider this company as no longer a viable solution for resoling your shoes.  Don't let my misfortune become your loss as well.  I lost 2 pairs of Tenaya Ras to this guy.

Unfortunately or fortunately you will get them back some day. Used to deal with Bennet but after a similar experience I switched to Backcountry Cobblers in Lander. Never looked back.

Pro Deal Resoles does a great job at an excellent price. However, don't expect fast turnover, or any communication along the way—as with everything, there are trade-offs. I usually budget about three+ months to get my shoes back.  I rotate pairs, so this works well for me, but if you need things faster it's probably not the place for you.

Totally agree.  I always sent my shoes in the summer and I’ll usually get them back in 2-4 weeks.

I've been sending my kicks to ProDeal for years now. Average turnaround time usually seems to be 5-6 weeks, though there was one box that disappeared for like 2 months once.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
