Looking for one type of crampon good for multiple uses (is it possible?)

Biggest downsides - Replacement frontpoints will be hard to find. But if you run them as monos, you have a second set. You might need to return them if they don't fit your boots. If you can't it shouldn't be too hand to recoup your money selling them. The fact that they come with a toe strap option makes it highly unlikely that you'll not be able to get a good match to your boots IMO.
