Description

The Promised Land is exactly as it sounds. At least 200 boulder problems exist on 10 to 20 foot granite blocks. This area has a high density of problems in the V4-V8 range, and there is still a ton of development awaiting for problems in the V0 to V2 range. This area was discovered by Lynn Woods legend Bob Parrot and is essentially comprised of about 40 different collections of boulders which are all a short walk from each other. Classics include: Ridge Runner (V2), Proud Mary Arete (V4), The Maze (V6), Egg Hunt (V6), A Clear Mind (V8), and ?The Dream? (V8+).

Getting There

Look to access the power lines either on Cedar Brook Read or Fairview Avenue. Cedar Brook Road access is the preferred place. Try to find parking and hike up the obvious hill with the power lines above you.
