What makes "the Euros" better?

Ever hear of Chris Sharma, Daniel Woods, Alex Honnold, Tommy Caldwell, Kevin Jorgenson, or Paul Robinson. Doesn't seem that the Europeans are doing better then our elite climbers. |

Far more climbers there that can climb 5.13 off the couch. Also, listing the top US climbers is not every helpful, our climbing media ignore the euro climbers, so there are as many bad-ass elite climbers in Europe as there are here, they are just not household names because of the media bias. |

Get your head out of your inferiority complex and focus on being the best climber you can be. |

I'm having too much fun to care if I'm the best climber. this right here is the right mentality, cause im new to climbing and i climb with people much better than me but i honestly dont care cause im having to much fun learning and climbing..i do follow a regiment though and try to train as hard as i can with my current work schedule..only a month in and im getting into the v5/v6s now..im 30 now but i wish i had gotten into this sport at much much younger age..i didnt even really look at climbing as a sport growing up, there wasnt much around of it when i was growing up, atleast that i was aware of and i grew up in new england and i feel like climbing for sport here is much more limited than in other areas of the US specially in the early 2000s.. |

I think there's just more places where sport climbing in particular is more of a "normal" sport. The more popular a sport is somewhere, the better people will be at it for the most part. Sport climbing was also more popular earlier on in eu if I recall correctly |

They climb 5.14 and know it's not a big deal and don't spray about it or seek shoe sponsors because of it. |
