Read- we are going to ask the community their opinion but do nothing to change it in their favor

I'm going to lose sleep over that amazing profile pic of yours!!

(far more innuendo has been commented on photos of women climbing).

Really? The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of A, at 129, with second place B, with 36.... why did you ask us to vote at all?

A. Keep it simple, stupid. ;)

We were pretty happy with all three options and wanted feedback that might help us have good reasons to choose one versus another (I never promised a binding poll!). There were quite a few thoughtful comments, but the biggest takeaway is that all were pretty good, or at least an improvement. We decided the tiny benefits of B/C outweighed the tiny benefits of A, and between B and C, we ended up going with our gut. And I think the votes for C outweigh B.

You're right I mis-typed, C was 2nd place at 36, B was just behind at 21 or so.

It might have made more sense to come to your conclusion that A wasn't in the running first, and then asking for feedback on B vs. C. Or to not ask at all, which would be less frustrating than appearing to ask for feedback and then appearing to not listen to it.

Don't mind me, I probably just have voting PTSD right now. :)

Oh, it's a chalk bag. I thought it was a bushy bunny tail!

Boy, that is bringing back some memories...

Again, memories, but of a slightly different sort...

All three logos look great. I would probably choose option A though for the simplicity of it, as well as its tie to the original logo where the emphasis seemed to be on the mountains making the letter "M" for "M"ountain Project. Anyone complaining about it being a woman on the logo is just whining though.

The fact that you gave in into the criticism of the first logo says two things: a) you didn't have enough conviction in it, b) if so, why did you go through with it in the first place?

Next time, perhaps pick a small focus group selected from users of the site, not your in-house staff. I hope this was designed in-house, I'd hate to know how much the graphic designer is going to bill you for all this back and forth!

A! Simple and scales nicely. Adding a person to the image clutters the look and then doesn't get used in the scaled down version anyways - based on what I'm seeing on your favicon currently.

I like A best. I like its simplicity...

The NEW new logo is live. If you don't see the new one (and really care about this???), you need to clear your browser cache of images.

Thanks again for the feedback. In addition to the primary logo, we fixed the favicons and all of them in the footer too as a result.
