The NEW new MP Logo - give feedback!
|
I'm with you Mark. I like A best from the options, but I think the original logo is best. Was that the original Climbingboulder.com logo, where this all came from? In the name of tradition, it would be great to stick with the original. I'm sensing a metaphorical "cyber bolt war" of sorts over the controversy of changing the original logo. A lot of us climbers like things the way they were! Tradition!:) |

I prefer A but any one is fine. |

None of the above. A logo is a mark that represents an idea, company or brand. The new as with the current "coors light" mark utilize cheap trends in design - might as well put in outlines with a 1px circle. |

Original logo FTW. |

I prefer A. I love the simplicity. I think what gets lost in the newer logos, is the detail of the climber when scaled small. Maybe shoot for something a little more broad? ie: A.... |

In order or preference, |

C, she's cruising, B she's getting pumped. A is for alpinists, which I am not. |

Look, they HAVE to retain the little image of the person doing each activity for the sites. It's TOO USEFUL to throw out and helps manage everything. The whole mountain range part was lifted from Summit entertainment's logo years ago by reversing the order of the peaks to squeak by. I laughed as did the designer when he mentioned how it was created. In any case, the mountain rage persists as a design element and that's good. So you like the mountains without the person. That's cool. That can be your arm patch tattoo. |

My suggestion is that the logo should be only the hexagon without the square. With both shapes: 1) there is competing geometries that simply doesn't work, and 2) the graphics and the person are too small. Simplicity! |

Design by committee is death. You designers know this. You're right, design by committee is death. I was under the assumption that they will make the executive decision, and not tally our votes which is why I'm also glad they didn't do a survey. It's nice as a community member to see other peoples opinions and see the ideas that are proposed. However, at the end of the day it will be Nick and his crew making the decision. If they feel the person in some form is required then they will pick B or C. My qualitative review of the posts leads me to believe our collective favorite is A so we will see. Either way, it's cool that they listened to our complaints and then included us in the process. |

I like C with B as a close second. "Grounding" the climber by integrating with the background is very nice. |

A is a solid design, but it doesn't fit with the other logos if there isn't something or someone on it.That level of consistency already got thrown out the window with the snowflake though. |

A! Thank you for taking the time to listen to everybody. That is why I love coming to MP for anything. |
