Ulnar click

Hi guys,

Recently I've found that I keep getting a really pronounced but pain-free click from where my right ulna meets my wrist - this occurs whenever I hang, and from what I can see it looks like the ulna slips away from the palm side of my arm (so when I'm hanging palms forward, it looks like it moves 5-10mm down (away from my fingers) and back (away from my palm)). This doesn't hurt, and I can hang on it fine, but it's definitely disconcerting. It may be completely unrelated, but I also have discomfort in the same area if I do a push-up or similar movement off my palms - I pretty much have to do push-ups on fists.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced a similar thing, whether I should be worried, if there is anything I can do to stop this (exercises etc to increase the stability of the joint?), or whether I should just amputate now. What do you reckon?

Yeah, I was figuring that might be sensible. I'm in Wellington, New Zealand, so a bit off the beaten path, but there are a few people I can visit to get it checked out.

Cheers!

i guess a Denver flight might not be worth it then !

I had ulnar entrapment surgery done almost 2 years ago, the channel holding the nerve can gradually cover up things. If it gets covered all the way you are in trouble for sure.

Surgery went great 2 weeks in an fore arm cast and then no issues at all. I got back to using my hand/wrist fully after maybe 5 weeks

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
