This is the definition of spam "irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients." and this is a forum for deals on the internet so obviously not spam.
Thanks have a good day

It just seems weird that a bunch of brand new accounts are promoting the same product.

Kailas has them on sale again.

I believe the term you are looking for is "shill". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill

Take note of the screen name formats; name plus two digit suffix.

Is anybody dragging this beast up typical (ie not sherpa supported expedition mountaineering) weekend warrior climbs? Does it fit well into a 30L ice cragging pack? I emailed EB about the weight a while back and they didn't even know (lol).

Moosejaw 50 percent back in rewards on non sale items seems good. Plus active junky.

Rules and Details for the Moosejaw 5x Rewards:
• You must use code 5XREWARD for this to work.
• Moosejaw Reward Dollars are cut by three quarters for sale items. So, if you get something on sale you'll actually get 12.5% back instead of 50% back.
• Promotional Moosejaw Reward Dollars cannot be earned on Gift Cards, Arc'teryx Ski Boots, Patagonia, Burton, Western Mountaineering, GoPro, Kuhl, Garmin, Marmot, and Kayaks, Canoes, and Standup Paddleboards.
• Additional Exclusions may apply.
• This promotional code is good only on Monday November 28, 2016.
• This deal CANNOT be combined with other promos.
• Your MJ Reward Dollars won't show up in your account until after your order is shipped.

Just gonna point out that although MooseJaw's deal seems like 50% off, since you're getting store credit it's actually only 33% off.

Can you explain this, Gavin? I've never used their rewards system.

Nothing to do with Moosejaw specifically, just marketing in general.

When you buy something 50% off, you get two for the price of 1, i.e. "buy one get one free".

When you get 50% in credit, you'd need to buy two to get enough credit for one free, so it's "buy two get one free"... or, as Gavin said, 33% off.

Ahh, okay.

I also did a little digging around Moosejaw's rewards system and found you can only use your rewards dollars in a special section of their store where everything is priced in "MJ$" rather than US$. I'm not sure the MJ$ amt is higher than US$ MSRP, but selection is certainly more limited, so that's a major caveat to even a claim of "33% off..."

This is true, but they'll also issue you a monthly code for between $5-$50 USD depending on your MJ$ balance which can be applied to regular orders. So there is some value there.

It's also worth noting that unlike normal %off discounts, you'll rack up a bit more on the active junky 11% since you're paying the full price. It's not much, but it's something.

HEY EVERYONE...STOP POSTING GENERAL CHIT-CHAT HERE. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR CONVERSATION OR ARGUMENTS. THIS IS A THREAD FOR POSTING DEALS ONLY.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LINK FOR A DEAL...DO. NOT. POST.

THIS THREAD HAS REALLY DEGRADED A LOT OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS. KEEP IT TIGHT.

I don't see how warning people of a new account promoting their product is irrelevant to this thread.

I think it is in the best interest of this thread to spend the next couple pages arguing if it's in the best interest of this thread to argue.

In reality I agree with Clint. I come to this thread to see a new deal I didn't know about. If people want to know reviews on a specific item, start a new thread
