There is a chance I might be moving to Randle WA. It sits in a basin between Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and Mt. St Helen's. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the area and could and provide me with some beta for winter access in the area?

Also the climbing in the Tieton River seems pretty cool. I would also love to know what the scene is like there?

Thanks for the help
cheers

In addition to above, you are of course 45 ish minutes from White Pass which is a fun ski area and lots of back country/side country access. I honestly really liked the climbing in Tieton, which variety and when its good one of the best ice climbing spots in WA in Strobach Mtn.

The climbing in Tieton is really sweet. Lots of excellent 5.10 cracks in between andesite pillars, and some good 5.10-5.11 sport climbs on the pillar faces. The Bend is basically in the shade all winter, but Royal Columns get some good afternoon sun. It's very hot in the summer.

Goat Rocks (immediately south of Randall) will offer superb spring skiing. Access may be an issue until the road opens.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
