Flying in to climb on Sunday morning so could meet up early in Denver or little later in Boulder. If I can't locate one, I'll buy new in Denver, unless there's a local gear exchange shop......?

There's a couple of #4s hanging on the wall at WildyX. Sadly they seem to be few and far between used.

That's the place down the street from the REI in Denver, correct?

Yep, pretty much catty corner to the flagship REI on the edge of downtown (not one of several others).

Just FYI- WildyX has been a great sponsor of the BCC (the local affiliate of the Access Fund) as has been REI ($10k/year is a lot of money, right?). Those are two excellent choices for buying new in the DEnver area if you want to pick an organization that participates in and financially supports the local climbing community.

To note, REI is also present in Boulder, as Are Moosejaw and Neptune Mountaineering, which has also been great friends to the BCC:

In fact, Moosejaw used to call us at the BCC and ask how to get more involved and what they could do to help. Neptune has been an old reliable friend that's been there whenever you look for them.

Please do consider these businesses, and the others that support your local access, trail days, clean ups, and events:

Bought some things at Boulder REI although they were fresh out of #4 C4's. Going to seek out Neptune tomorrow. Such a great community of outdoor folks out here. Easy to see why everyone is flocking here.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
