Anfarwal wrote:Hey all, I'm going to be flying in Saturday ~ 3pm on 8/24 to SFO and flying out on Saturday 10/1 at 5pm (probably leaving ~noon on Saturday from Yosemite so I can get an In and Out burger :) ). I've already rented a car, so if anyone wants to catch a ride with me let me know. As far as flying, I always travel with my trad rack, harness and shoes in my carry-on and haven't had much of a problem. I'm planning on packing a bottle of Colorado whisky to share too :) anyone else bringing a bottle of local liquor to share? it would be great to have a tasting!
Whisky tasting sounds great, should be able to bring some as well ;)

Hello all! Super psyched to be heading out and meeting you all!. I will be heading in mid day Sunday with 2 others, Veronica and Nick and we defiantly want to climb something! Keep us posted where people may be and we will do likewise if we get in earlier.

Hey guys, I am in the Valley. Checked the campground, but our sites were still occupied. Now hanging around the Curry (half dome) village. Will be back in the campground 11:45. Wearing blue tshirt and climbing jeans. If anyone interested in climbing today, after we pitch our tents, we can go to Church Bowl and warm up on some single pitch routes. Happy to meet you there, Jan. My cell 305 810 9908, just in case

I had a great time -- wonderful meeting, or seeing again, everyone. Safe trips home everyone.

This year's ICM was so magical! I felt like I was inhabiting an alternative universe where nothing existed but climbers and granite and climbing. I wanted to climb everything with everyone and there just wasn't enough time!

Sad to have missed dinner on the last day too and catch up with y'all about your last climbs.

Stay in touch and look me up if you're ever back in California!

Hey Spang, it was great meeting you too! I need to know--did you guys summit Washington Column? I was super impressed that you and Jan went back at it the next day and was crossing my fingers that you made it!

This trip was epic and it exceeded my expectations. Was great to meet all of the passionate climbers, rangers and be lucky enough to share the other end of the rope with few of you.

Thank you Carol for great organization. I am sure it wasn't easy to keep the wolf pack organized.

Big thanks also goes to the great catering team who always delivered on time and meals were so good.

I am sorry to miss the last night's party as well. When I woke up the next morning, most of you guys were already gone.

Spang is going to kill me for this, but in case you are wondering, here is the reason why the Column took us so long to climb:

Washington Column, South Face, anchor at pitch 4.

Haha. Nice photo. :-P

@Anfarwal we did! The second day we were first on the route and topped out around sunset, then got down by rappelling the route by headlamp: instagram.com/p/BLKvxKmDqvS…

We got back to camp around 1am.

Haha, that's fantastic! Love the pic and so psyched that you finished it after 2 days of trying. What a way to end ICM, congrats !

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
