My wife and I will be in Colorado on 15 July weekend for some backpacking and bouldering. I thought a little fly fishing would be good for the mind and body. We were thinking somewhere around Mt. Evans or Long's Peak alpine lakes and streams.

Any suggestions? We want a 10mi in and 10 out or loop around 20mi to get the legs warmed up, and altitudes around 10k since my 17mo daughter will be with us.

if for some reason you end up climbing in boulder canyon, you can get some nice fishing in afterwards. for the most part the fish aren't very big (although there are a few holes that have decent sized fish). however, the little ones are feisty and you usually have the stream pretty much to yourself. super duper easy access too...

(doh, sorry - looks like i am a couple months late...)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
