I like the miramontes version but half the time I use MP more than the book. The book is for when I'm at home and want to memorize stuff or practice my reading skills.

If anyone is seeking BOLTED (Often referred to as "Sport", but not always the case), you might want to consider waiting a little while longer for Todd Gordons Joshua Tree "Sport" climbing guidebook. Rumor around these parts is it's going to list 1,200+ bolted routes in the park. Latest I heard on the scheduled release date was supposedly around December of this year. (Best to check on that one as it may well no longer be the case)
What's the status of Double Coors! Oops cross dang it. Is Double Cross bolted?
On my first trip there I asked the guy at Nomad Ventures the same question. He said, do you think you'll come here more than once? I said yes. He then handed my the Miramontes book. I haven't regretted the purchase.
