Description
A stunningly beautiful place away from the crowds, overlooking North Bald Cap. The top of the cliff is a popular view point for hikers (as there is a trail leading there). The cliff itself is around 400' high and has at least four established routes. There are a couple of bolted anchors midway the cliff.
To rappel, you can sling a boulder at the top and you can reach the midway bolted anchors. Double ropes is recommended.

Getting There
Nov 2017 Update - Due to the late Oct'17 flooding, the logging road that turns off of Success Pond Rd at 5.2 miles and leads to a parking clearing about 1/2 mile up is washed out at Success Pond Rd. It looks like you'll have to hike this 1/2 mile to where the trail starts. It also means there is limited parking. Success Pond Rd (not maintained for winter) is also MUCH more bumpy, especially at places where wash-outs have been repaired. It is passable for 2-wheel-drive cars, but just barely.
Take Success Pond Rd from Berlin for about five miles. It's a dirt road where the first mile is rough (because of all the ATVs) but it gets little better after that. At 4.7 - 4.8 miles in, pass the North Bald Cap turn-off; continue on Success Pond Rd another 0.5 mile and take a right. There's a small sign saying Success Trailhead. About 0.2 miles in, take the right fork for another 0.2 miles to a grassy parking area. From there take the hiking trail for 45-55 minutes where the Outlook trail veers off. It's very short and you reach the summit. The second half of the main trail is steepish and slabby and can be slippery when wet.
