These things are SUPER light, and SUPER fun to climb in. With a thick Smart-wool, I had no issues with warmth at around -12C (it didn't get any colder during my trip). One question for the thread: What's everyone running for their crampon set-up? I've got the Petzl Lynx, but the toe bail is way to wide for this boot. Modified the Lynx with a size Small BD toe bail, but it's still not quite a perfect fit. Any recommendations?
took em out the other day on the ultra classic Pomme d'Or in northern Quebec in sub -35dec C and they worked well. My partner was using Batura's 2.0 and our toes felt about the same. I'm also having the same toe bail prob wit my Cassin Blade Runners.

Some Cassin guys told me to tighten the Blade runners super tight. I offset the bails and that's worked well. The fit to Scarpa boots is the biggest minus. The pons are crazy sensitive which gives me much confidence on hard stuff. That's a wash though when I swear my crampons are going to fall off! Haha

Approaches can be problematic for me wearing Blade runners. I feel like they slide or wiggle to one side. It feels like a broken ankle waiting to happen sometimes.

I'm using G22's on my Scarpas and they fit perfect. They have a smaller toe bail than even the G20's

An update, after 7 days of use (and one day of hard mountaineering) my lower lace lock broke in the same way the other did earlier in this thread. I'll update again once I hear from LS about warranty, but in the meantime I might suggest holding off until they figure out this durability issue.

Think you could upload a photo of the toe-bail set up? Really curious for comparison...

any news on the lace hooks as we approach another season? the boots look great for my purposes in many respects, but those lace locks sound (and even look) awfully fragile

La Sportiva replaced the boots and were very quiet about everything. As far as I can tell, the lace locks are still an issue. I didn't get a chance to use them as the season had ended, but hopefully it's a fluke from the first couple batches.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
