Description Suggest change

This is our go to local crag!  Don't be suprised to meet someone here when you visit. 20 minutes from MQT, 2 minute approach, southern exposure, 10 degrees warmer than MQT, make it a perfect half day or quick hit. It's more or less an outdoor gym, geared towards the gym to crag thought.  It's a well pertected crag, with a set of practice anchors at the bottom mid cliff.  This is also our training crag.  If your so inclined/bored with the crag, each route can be climbed three distinct ways.  If you draw a line straight through the bolts, there is a line left of the bolt line, right of the bolt line, and threading the needles.  Name of the game is don't cross the bolt line for the right or left.  A little contrived?  Yes, but when you just want different moves to add to your repertoire this works well.  Each is a distinct line and has its own difficulty.  If your sassy, you can lead up one, down lead another, and lead back up the third.  Now that's training!  A great little crag.

Getting There Suggest change

Halfway between Neguanee and Ishpeming, on CO 480, head south on Suicide Bowl Rd.  About a half mile in, turn left on the power line road and park on the right.  Do not park on Suicide Bowl Rd!  Do not block any roads. Hike back up Suicide Bowl Road the way you came in and look for a muddy two track on the left, very visible. Follow the two track for about 100 yards, and when it starts to trend uphill, look to the right for a well worn dirt trail that heads uphill. You might be able to see the rock, as it's only 30 yards off the two track.
