TUFA Climbing // Houdini Multi-Pitch Chalk Bag
Hey fellas, |
Handmade in Eugene, Oregon: |
Good timing! I actually sent you an email about these to your old "peace" email address just a couple days ago. Did you get it? I can resend if that email address has been 86'ed. Let me know. |
Sweet, just ordered one |
Thanks for letting me know, Jon. I should probably check that email still haha. |
When you were designing this, what size of windshirt were you thinking? Like, what are the dimensions of the pocket? Would it hold the Patagonia Houdini and a small Petzl or Black Diamond Headlamp? |
Hi - I'm curious with your stuff, but I'd really like to see some of the product pics with things for scale. A man's hand, a woman's hand, a cam, etc. WIth the current pics, the bag could be 12" high and I wouldn't be able to tell. Thx. |
Roatch, that was exactly the intent with this design. It holds the e-light and windshirt well and slightly lifts (shortens) the chalk compartment instead of bulging in from the side. |
Does anyone know if Tufa is planning on restocking products soon, or are they no longer in business? My roommate has a Houdini that I have been pretty jealous of |
I bought something from him not that long ago. Just email him through the website. I think he said at the moment he is only making a few of his products upon request. |

Nice. How do I get one in the UK. Or yosemite |

David Coley wrote: You probably don't. I think Josh stopped making gear. His website shows every product as "sold out" and he hasn't updated his Instagram in almost 2 years. PS this thread is from 2016. EDIT - I was curious so I got in touch with Josh and it appears he's still making gear, albeit on a limited basis. Contact him to inquire. |
Update: Josh is whipping me up a Houdini, made to order. It took a minute for him to respond to my initial email, but he has been responsive since then and says he will have it sewn and shipped by the end of the week! I am stoked. |

Best chalk bag design I have ever owned and now have 3 of them. One of them is a bigger diameter that allows me easier access for those that wear XL glove size. Josh made it upon request. His Mochilla pack design is also my favorite pack for climbing multi pitch routes that take more then a few hours. I own 2 of them. On one of mine I have attached Josh’s crampon bag which adds additional storage when needed. Top quality materials, construction, and designs at TUFA |
