I'll be vacationing with family in Southern Utah (staying in Kanab) next week. I will have first-time climbers with me. I'm looking for 5.4-5.7 single pitch climbs with easy TR access without leading (no one else will have ever belayed before). I'm looking at Zion's practice cliffs here on MP but am curious if there's another similar area in/near Zion or near Kanab that fits this description. Thanks!

I'd suggest the St. George area, maybe Shotgun Alley, as a better venue.

The climb up to the practise cliffs is kinda loose and sandy and the routes may not be that suited to beginner climbers.

Zion isn't really a beginner friendly area.

try "Green Valley Gap" in St George.
You can literally top-rope off your car/truck/van bumper(there are actual anchors)and it goes from I believe easy 5.5- .12's or maybe harder...

Thanks! I appreciate the help. I'd gotten the idea that Zion wasn't ideal for this, but as we will be there a couple days of the trip, I was hopeful there might be something fitting that just wasn't posted on here. I'll check out the other places you mentioned
