RRG in June - what's it really like?

I know, prime time is fall and spring, but as a teacher it's hard to make that happen. Made my first trip there this past March for a week, but unfortunately I was sick the whole time and didn't really get to enjoy it fully. Some of the locals at Miguel's were telling me that June can be pretty good. It's hot, but you're climbing jugs so it doesn't matter ;-)

From experience, what's it like for most of June? I spent many summers in VT and NY growing up so I know what humidity feels like. Are there lots of bugs? Is it simply unbearable or just a bit uncomfortable?

I've spent 2 summers in Squamish and one of the guys I talked with at Miguel's said that he thought Squamish was more hot and humid in the summer than the Red...not sure if I believe that though!

I've also heard conditions at the New can be better in the summer because it's perched higher up and gets a breeze...

It is sweaty. Shade can be found any time of the day. Many areas have protection against the summer rains. The dew point is your only true enemy. NRG can be good as said, but can receive more rain due to its mountain setting. The New does have good alternatives like white water. The Red is limited to hiking and Lexington for off days.

Go for it, it will be hot and humid and you probably wont get ideal conditions to send your proj but still a great time. June can still have some really nice weather plus its not as crowded and rainy as earlier in spring. Bugs really aren't bad in the Red, there are some mosquitos/ticks but they are never that bad that its a problem. It will be warm but totally doable.

It's hit or miss. You'll have systems come in and dump buckets on you, occasionally. But, you can hide under the cliffs and still climb.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
